And I I don't think that we really are not just being in like this northeastern corridor of like Massachusetts down through Maryland, Virginia, because that's like the powerhouse of the United States right there outside of California. That's like the powerhouse of the United States with all the shit, all the traffic, they got Amtrak railways, buses back and forth. But the power of being from our area in particular is that you really get to experience everything. You can drive 20 minutes and be in the city, you can drive 20 minutes and be at the fucking farm. Like it's it really is a melting pot in a way a lot of other places aren't. So if you you know they say New York, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere, and we're gonna talk about New York more with what happened last night, the the traumatizing events of last night. I got a lot of names and a lot of aliases. It depends on when you when you meet me. Some people might know me as Brad. When I'm in Chicago, they call me Tay Danski because I can't be BD out there. The voice y'all heard on the check-in earlier is my good brother, Jack Skolnik. Also known to some as Jack Boy Yeo, also known as Kodak Jack. Yeah, this is this is my guy right here. I was trying to think earlier. It's gotta be between Jack, Taji, and Score, for who I just done the most podcast episodes with. I don't know who it would be, because me and Taji had a couple shows. Me and Jack had a couple shows. But one of my favorite highlights of the end of our time with the Working Title podcast, and if you don't know about the Working Title podcast, we we I'd say we was innovators. We were at the front of a lot of podcast shit. We was like 10, 11, 12 deep, just doing a show every week. But as we grew, we started a new spin-off podcast. So one of my favorite spinoffs ever, me and Jack had a show called The Podcast About Nothing, where we just were going there. We just was we just were part. We was we drink, we drank a lot.

It was a lot of fun, bro. I think that I think that not to like get super like sentimental, but I think like during the time when we were so focused on growth on growth and being better, and it kind of felt more like work-esque. Like the work, the shit that we were doing. It wasn't that it was always fun, but it was wasn't as fun when you're trying to grow because you have to be super professional about everything. But podcast about nothing always was kind of like one of those spots where it was like I always felt like it was just old school how we used to be, type shit. Could just have fun, talk about literally nothing. We literally talked about nothing on there for 45 minutes an episode or 30 minutes or whatever it was. But definitely one of my highlight was the right word, definitely a big highlight of our of our time doing podcasting together for sure.

We had a we had a nice little sub-universe that we built where we really would just because at the time when we did it, the part also was going towards like we had the the weekly, but we also had the interviews, which were the afterworks, which were getting kind of a little more serious, a little more like I gotta actually prep and prepare, and I got this person coming in. So it was a it was a dope release to just yeah, just turn up.

I know it's probably not like to you like the hardest thing, but I feel like the amount over the years that I've come to learn about and the amount of places I've seen you, you know, drop in is like holy shit. Like I would never be able to do this on my own time simply because, you know, I just don't I think some you know, this is the way you think sometimes it's just you know, you have a good way of feeling things out. And I think that you have a really good way of finding those things out where you put yourself in the rooms you want to be in. So I just want to give your flowers on that, on that tip.

They're like, you're lying, you're social, you're this, you're outgoing, you wear clothes, you do shit that makes you want to be seen. I'm like, nah, it's not necessarily that I want to be seen, but I know I'm gonna be seen, so I want to show up in a way that is up to my standard. It's like, nah, I think necessarily that I want to talk to all these people and network and workshop, but my dreams and the shit I want to make happen aren't gonna happen in isolation and seclusion.

It's a really interesting it's a really interesting way to look at it in the sense of like you you hit the nail on the head and and how I feel in just standard social settings. Where it's like, I don't want to go to something where I can't be like who I should be in this situation. Like if I'm just not really feeling it, like I but I feel like I have to go because it's whatever type of situation. I just feel like I feel kind of bad because I'm like, I can't be this the the more energetic person than I want to be in this type of room. So a lot of times I find myself being like, I'm just not I feel like I can't be my best self in this situation, so maybe I just won't go, type of deal. So you always want to be your best self depending on what the situation is.

So, Jack, the biggest story in the world right now, the biggest thing to talk about is game four of the NBA finals between Knicks and the Spurs. It happened last night at Madison Square Garden in front of a raucous crowd. The crowd was rocking, crowd was going crazy. Knicks at one point had a 20, what, 27-point lead? I want to say. I meant Spurs. I'm so I'm so traumatized by it. Okay, so just a little a little backstory, right? I was I was for the first, let's say, 29 years of my life. I was a fan of the Chicago Bulls. I was a fan of them purely because I I fell into the 90s propaganda. When I was born, the Bulls were the most marketable brand in sports. They had fucking Michael Jordan. My name is literally Jordan. So my earliest memories aren't even of basketball itself, but of watching Space Jam and watching this motherfucker put the ball in the in the basket from the half court. Of course, my parents had all the Jordan shoes for me. My name is fucking Jordan. Like, so yeah. I never had a chance. Never had a chance. I was a Bulls fan. Rock with Alan Iverson, of course, like the 2000s, rock with Gilbert Arenas and the Wizards, and so he, you know, we all know what it is. What a loser. You used to watch the Wizards. Yeah, man. Used to be a Wizards fan back when they had Gilbert. But then when they lost Gilbert, I slowly went back to the Bulls. Kind of enjoyed the Derek Rose era, and then Derek Rose blew his knee out in a game where they were up. There was no reason for him to be playing. Playoffs. Yeah, against the 76ers. Yeah. Another. I keep having these moments where the teams I love, they be up and then bad things happen. So I say all that to say I abandoned the Bulls after years of disappointment and mediocrity to hinge my bandwagon to the Spurs. We're going on like two, two or three years now. It was pre-Wimby Yambo. It was about when it was about to get Wimby.

But the the NBA as a brand is significantly better with the Knicks because you see as although they like kind of fade away when they're bad, like their fan base is gigantic, right? As far as as De'Aaron Farrus goes, I think the the trickiest part with all of that is just like the options that they have next to him, right? So it's kind of like you're opting for the the vet point guard to you think you in time like in theory should be your guy, right? All-star 27, 28 years old, versus the rest of their team is really young. And the the point that and I get this is such an obvious point, I'm not really making it, but it's like De'Aaron Fox hasn't been there, right? Like De'Aaron Fox played for Sacramento. Fucking Sacramento. Right. So it's like I'm not I'm not giving him a pass by any stretch, but it's like he's as young as the rest of your team is, realistically. Right. But yeah, uh, there's not really a whole lot to say outside of DeAndre Fox and Waron, but they are the Spurs also like down the stretch. Like, you got to keep in mind, like Mitch Mitch should have called multiple timeouts when they were going on a run. Yeah, they they didn't really deploy, like they they looked, they played scared. That's really what it looked like to me. It looked like they were it's the same ads that they always talk about in all the sports, where it's like they looked like they were playing not to lose, they didn't look like they were playing to win.
